Dental Checkups & Teeth Cleanings

Two of the most effective services we offer are the routine checkup and cleaning. These preventive appointments give our team the chance to get to know a patient’s dental needs and formulate the perfect treatment plan to help them achieve their long-term smile goals. One of our dentists will first perform a thorough exam of your teeth and mouth, and then a member of our hygiene team will use sophisticated tools to remove harmful plaque and tartar deposits. Together, these treatments serve as the foundation of every healthy and beautiful smile.

Children’s Dentistry

Because we’ve been around for so long, many of our former child patients are now bringing their own children to see us! We just love welcoming little smiles to our practice, and we go out of our way to ensure both children and parents always have a comfortable time at the dentist. We have a number of kid-friendly services, all focused on preventing tooth decay while also ensuring proper oral development.

Dental Sealants

Did you know that the back teeth are the most susceptible to developing cavities (especially for children)? Their rough and pitted surfaces are the perfect traps for plaque and bacteria, and this also makes them extremely difficult to completely clean. To give these teeth some extra protection, we can place a dental sealant on them, which is a clear, thin layer of a plastic-based substance. They only take minutes to apply, and they literally establish an invisible barrier that keeps out cavity-causing factors for years to come.

Fluoride Treatment

Regularly exposing your teeth to fluoride, whether through certain toothpastes or by drinking tap water, is the dental equivalent of lifting weights—it actually strengthens the enamel and makes a person less likely to develop cavities. This is why we offer a topical fluoride treatment at every regular checkup. It only takes a few minutes, is completely painless, and it’s one of the best ways to help patients of all ages stay cavity-free between dental appointments.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Bruxism is a very common response to daily stress. What is it? You probably know it better as teeth grinding, and for most people, it only occurs while they are asleep. This sneaky habit can lead to worn down teeth, fractured enamel, as well as chronic pain in the jaw and head. Fortunately, by having a patient wear a small oral appliance called a nightguard to bed, we can help them rest easy. It’s designed to fit comfortably over the teeth and place a barrier between them to stop any harmful contact during the night.

Oral Cancer Screening

More and more people are being diagnosed with oral cancer in the US, and while this deadly disease is relatively easy to treat when detected early, its initial signs are quite easy to miss by untrained eyes, meaning it’s often not found until it’s already advanced. To make sure our patients stay safe, our dentists perform a complete oral cancer screening at all routine checkups. They’ll look for any signs of cancerous tissues in an around the mouth, and if they see anything that causes concern, they can help a patient get the follow-up care they need right away.

Vanish XT Sensitivity Relief

Vanish XT Sensitivity relife system

Dental sensitivity is often caused by a thinning of the enamel that exposes the sensitive interior nerve of a tooth to hot and cold temperatures. Unfortunately, once enamel is gone, it’s gone for good. However, with the Vanish XT Sensitivity System, we can now apply a protective layer along the roots of sensitive teeth that is proven to help prevent dental pain. The fluoride-mineral combination is simply placed onto a tooth, hardened with a special light, and then it will remain on the tooth for six months or longer, enabling a patient to enjoy hot coffee and/or ice cream without any discomfort.
